This is an example of a pre-WWII German Nazi Luger pistol that was manufactured by Mauser in 1935. While the Germans were still paying lip service to the Treaty of Versailles, 1935 was the second year of renewed Luger production, as the Nazis already had designs on lebensraum in Eastern Europe and payback against the French. Fixed sights, with the "G" date mark on the chamber, "S/42" on the front toggle link, "W|154" and "S|92" on the extension, and "stick wing eagle" firing proofs on the extension, barrel and breechblock. Straw colored small parts, nitre blue springs, pins and screws, checkered grips and a nickel magazine with aluminum base. With a black leather 1934 dated Otto Sindel holster, with a takedown tool and pin punch.
Very good as professionally refinished, with 95% of the blue, showing some mild handling marks and wear. Bright and vivid nitre blue and refurbished straw colors are present. The takedown lever shows evidence of weld repair. Grips are good, with a glued-in chip near the safety and mild dents. The holster is fair, with cracking and some restitched components. Mechanically very good.
