This is an example of a early Nazi police rework Luger semi-automatic pistol. These "sneak" variation Luger pistols have a blank chamber middle toggle link (in order to conceal the manufacturer and date from the outside world). The left side of the barrel extension has the early Mauser firing proof along with the Mauser rework "eagle/WaA66" proof, along with a partial firing proof on the right side of the barrel. The left side of the breechblock also has the early Mauser eagle firing proof. It was numbered in the commercial fashion to help hide the German rearmament, so it numbered on the underside of the barrel and frame with the last two digits on some of the various smaller parts. It has the standard fixed sights with the police sear bar still on top of the side plate. It has the rust blued finish with straw colored small parts and checkered walnut grips. It comes with one magazine that has the polished steel body with the wooden base. The base has been renumbered in a police manner with the larger "3422/I" and no other proofs. The magazine safety has been removed.
Very fine with 95% of the original blue finish with edge and high spot wear with blue loss on the muzzle and front frame rails. The smaller parts retain 60% of the straw colors with slightly more in the protected areas. The grips are in fine condition with distinct checkering overall with wear across the tops of the checkering mixed with some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
