Manufactured in 1946 as one of just over 2,300 total produced in 1946-1949 and falling in the S62940-S75000 serial number range. Rare checkered rib barrel variation utilizing leftover pre-war Registered Magnum barrel. These are only found in the S69000 serial number range and no more than a small few are known to collectors today. Matching serial numbers on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder, and ejector shroud. Excellent, retaining 98% plus original blue finish with muzzle wear and a light cylinder drag line. The grips are also excellent with minimal handling marks and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with repairable spit lid corners.
