The revolver comes with the John J. Adams Sr. receipt dated 6-13-05 verifying that serial number 89328SA Colt SAA 45 7 1/2" was "C"+ engraved, gold and silver finished with fire blue screws and confirms the grip material. Provenance: The Joe Marlin Hilliard Collection
Very fine as professionally embellished by Master engraver John J. Adams Sr., with 99% plus silver plating remaining beginning to darken with age in the area of the trigger guard and front strap. The cylinder and ejector housing retain all of the gold finish and the hammer retains 98% gold finish with some minor flaking and dulling on the back. 99% bright niter blue remains on the small parts. The grips are as new. The engraving and markings remain sharp. Mechanically excellent.
