Manufactured in West Germany, this Combination Gun features a blade front sight, flip up rear sight and integral claw mount bases on the matte solid rib. The barrel is equipped with a Hensoldt Wetzlar 6x42 scope. The upper left side near the breech is marked with the two-line address and "SPEZIAL LAUFSTAHL logo BOCHUMER VEREIN" on the right side. Both barrels are marked "NITRO-PROVED". The upper barrel is 16 gauge with 2 3/4 inch chamber choked full, the lower barrel is 30-06 and there is a sling swivel mounted on the underside. The box lock action is coin, the triggers bright and the remaining parts are blue. The action is lightly scroll engraved with the "ORIGINAL/SAUER" logo on the underside. Greener crossbolt, rifle set trigger and mounted with a multi point checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a plastic grip cap and Sauer buttplate, cheek piece and sling swivel.
Excellent, the barrels retain 97% original blue finish. There is a small amount of finish loss on the lower barrel near the muzzle where there appears to be a repair on the seam of the rib and barrel. The remaining blue parts retain 99% plus original finish and the action retains all of the original coin finish. The wood is also excellent with only a few small minor dings and handling marks, and sharp checkering. The safety is very hard to move, otherwise the mechanics are excellent. The markings and engraving are crisp and clear. The scope is excellent with 98% original finish showing a few minor scratches and clear optics.
