The lot includes to sealed metal boxes containing .470 Nitro Express ammunition, one by Kynoch with a partial label, the other is unknown and unlabeled. Both appear to contain 10 rounds each. These sealed tin packages of ammunition were popular in the early 20th century for protecting it from the tropical environments in which it was mostly used, hence the name Tropical Tin.
The Kynoch box is good, the label is mostly absent, the lid shows moderate oxidation, and intact seal. The unknown box is very good with no label, light marks, and intact seals.
