Description:The G33/40 Mountain carbines were manufactured during the German Occupation of Czechoslovakia for issue to the German Gebirgsjaeger mountain troopers. Examples such as this one are considered to be the rarest of the G33/40s, with the exception of the folding stock prototype rifle, in that it has no evidence of serial numbers in the usual places, and these are believed to have been assembled sometime around late 1945 from leftover parts. "945" code above "1941" date on top of the receiver. The "N8" and "(eagle)/63 proof on the bolt. Hooded blade front and tangent rear sights, with "(eagle)/WaA63" and "(eagle)/607" proofs on various components, and an "(eagle)/(swastika)/WaA63" stamp on the underside of the buttstock. Includes leather sling.
Rating Definition:Excellent plus, retains 98% plus original blue finish with a few light handling marks. Stock is also excellent with sharp defined edges, a few light handling marks, and a crisp stamp. Mechanically excellent.
