The coin finished sideplated action displays beautifully cut floral scroll engraving with a Fausti emblem on the underside along with a pair of game bird scenes consisting of a woodcock in flight on the right and a grouse in flight on the left. The triggerplate is signed "INC. PATELLI W." to the right of the trigger. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with engraved coin grip cap and checkered bare butt. Includes a second matching numbered barrel set in the uncommon 32 gauge with 2 3/4 inch chambers, gold "2" on the rib, and its own forend. Also includes a factory takedown case that houses the entire set. Barrel measurements for the 32 gauge set (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proofed at 12.9mm (.508 inches) and measured .509/.510 inches; choke constriction .013/.032 inches. Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue and coin finishes with limited handling evidence. The wood is very fine with light dings and scratches (two most noticeable at the left stock head) and sharp checkering. The extra barrel is excellent. The case is very fine. Mechanically excellent.
