This is a fully functional museum quality reproduction of a Colt Gatling gun chambered in .45-70 Government on a tripod as manufactured by Thunder Valley Machine Company, bearing resemblance to a Model 1874 "Camel" gun and uses an Accles style drum magazine like a Model 1883. Fitted with fixed front and elevation adjustable rear sights, and ten exposed barrels. The top of the bronze receiver section has a brass disc that is marked "GATLING'S/BATTERY/GUN" along with the patent dates and Colt address. The iron frame has Thunder Valley address and the serial number marked on the right. The tripod has an iron yoke and bronze legs.
Very fine, retains 60% plus original blue finish on the barrels with scattered mild surface corrosion, and the brass exhibits a slightly darkened golden patina with some areas of green verdigris on the magazine. Mechanically excellent.
