Finely Engraved American Half-Stock Percussion Rifle with Attractive German Silver Inlaid Stock
Features blade and notch sights, double set triggers, scroll engraved and German silver banded breech plug, engraved and "MOORE" marked lock, thirteen engraved German silver inlays/accents (including an attractive patriotic spread wing eagle and shield cheekpiece inlay), engraved patch box, toe plate with decorative finial, and smooth half-stock with incised lines on the cheek piece.
Very good with dark brown patina and mild oxidation and pitting on the lock and barrel, reworked tang, lightly aged inlays, attractive aged patina on the brass, and mild overall wear. The stock is also very good and has some repairs by the lock, minor chips along the edges, and some scratches and dings. Mechanically fine.
