Developed by Dieudonne Saive (of FN High Power fame) after World War II, the Fusil Automatique Leger (Light Automatic Rifle) would find great popularity with NATO forces, earning the nickname "The Right Arm of the Free World". Post front and elevation adjustable peep rear sights, with a ported flash hider, adjustable gas system, and three-position "A", "R" and "S" selector. The upper receiver bears the one line Herstal address, with no visible import markings. Fitted with a smooth plastic forearm and pistol grip, and a smooth hardwood buttstock.

Fine, with 85% of the original matte black finish, showing mild scuffing on the flash hider, charging handle and receiver, along with mild operating wear and handling marks. The bolt and bolt carrier are renumbered to match the receiver and trigger housing. The furniture is very good, with mild wear. Mechanically excellent.
