Originally manufactured by Heckler & Koch in 1985 as a HK94 semi-automatic rifle and imported by HK Inc, this rifle was converted to a "MP5SD" style submachine gun by Hard Times Armory of Smyrna, Georgia. In addition to the installation of a "shelf" pattern trigger pack and a welding up of the bolt carrier to engage the auto-sear, Hard Times added a foot long extension to the receiver which houses the barrel and a baffle stack, with the endcap housing a double wipe assembly; in contrast to the original SD model, the barrel is unported. Hooded post front and 4-position drum rear sights, with the Hard Times markings on the underside of the receiver, model and date markings on top, a "0/1/A" marked trigger housing, textured pistol grip and two-position telescoping buttstock. A slip-on padded rubber cover for the silencer is provided, as is a hand-numbered shipping box. Provenance: The Al Walker Collection
Very fine as upgraded to full auto, with 98% of the factory quality finish, showing some mild edge wear and handling marks overall. The wipes show some crystalline residue, but generally appear intact. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478. Additionally, it is registered on a single form as a "Machine Gun" with an "internal suppressor" noted; a separate Form 3/4 is not needed for the silencer.
