Manufactured by Wilson Arms Co. of Brunswick, GA, using a new-made tube receiver and a number of original WWII era components to make a near perfect copy of the MP40, one of the signature weapons of Nazi Germany. A refinement of the MP38 SMG, the MP40 was the go-to close quarters battle weapon of the Wehrmacht and many paramilitary formations. Blade front and two-leaf rear sights, with the Wilson markings on the underside of the receiver and "MP40/ayf/41" on the endcap. The alloy rest bar is present on the unnumbered barrel, with a set of deep brown bakelite panels on the sides of the trigger housing and an underfolding metal stock. Magazine absent.

Very fine as assembled, with 75% of the thinning blue finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina, along with scattered light scratches and mild handling marks. The otherwise fine bakelite panels show mild scuffing and scratching, and the folding stock is in good working order. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
