Manufactured in 1903, this revolver has the attractive Colt high polish commercial blue finish and is fitted with a 7 1/2 inch round barrel and two-piece checkered hard rubber grips. The barrel is marked with the standard Hartford address in one line on top and "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" marked on the left side. The circled Rampant Colt is located on the lower left rear corner of the frame just ahead of the grips. The cylinder is numbered ("96") to the gun, and matching assembly number "63" is on the grip frame and loading gate.
Very fine, retains 70% of the original high polish blue finish and 75% plus of the original nitre blue with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina with a few scattered patches of rough brown oxidation and light pitting. The grips are also very fine showing an attractive chocolate color and a few scattered minor dings. Mechanically excellent.
