Made in Belgium prior to the German invasion in 1940, and properly devoid of the Occupation-era proofs. The standard three-line address and Browning patent markings are present on the left side of the slide, with "crown/PH" proofs on the left side of the frame and Liege proofs on the slide, frame and chamber and matching numbers on the same. Outfitted with blade front and tangent rear sights, a ring hammer, magazine well safety and a pair of checkered walnut grips. The included stock is of the "board" pattern, with the typical attached holster absent, and number "13679" stamped in the wrist.
Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original blue finish with the grip straps having thinned slightly to a smooth grey patina. The grips are also very fine with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The stock is excellent with some light wear from the now absent holster and some light handling marks scattered throughout.
