Description:Dated to July of 1943. Single bead sight, with the barrel marked for a cylinder choke and a 2 3/4 inch chamber, with "U.S. (flaming bomb)" on top. The U.S. markings are repeated on the upper left side of the receiver ahead of "MILITARY FINISH", with the Remington trade mark on the left side over the serial number, "W" on the trigger guard and "MODEL 11" on the bolt. Smooth forearm and pistol grip stock, with the Ordnance "crossed cannons" cartouche ahead of "FJA" (WWII-era inspector Frank Atwood) on the left side of the buttstock, a serrated Remington buttplate and a 14 inch length of pull.
Rating Definition:Excellent, with 98% of the original blue finish, showing some minor handling marks and edge wear overall. A few small chips are absent from the stock around the tangs, but the wood is otherwise very fine. Mechanically excellent.
