Fine. The barrel retains 40% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina and some mild pitting at the muzzle. The cylinder, trigger guard and back strap retain 20% original blue with the balance a smooth bright gray patina. The frame and hammer retain traces of case color patterns in the protected areas mixed with a smooth gray patina. There are 5 minor notches on the right grip, otherwise the grips are very good with some scattered light handling marks and the checkering beginning to wear smooth. The markings are clear. Mechanically fine. Provenance: The John Fox Collection.
