Imported in 1966 by Golden State Arms, one of the first importers of the early HK G3 and HK41 rifles. Hooded post front and 4-position drum rear sights, standard markings and "5/66" date on the left side of the magazine well, trigger group marked "MADE IN GERMANY FOR/SANTA FE DIVISION/GOLDEN STATE ARMS CORPORATION/PASADENA-CALIFORNIA-U.S.A./CAL. 7.62 mm NATO", later style "S/F" marked trigger group with welded tabs (to prevent the installation of an automatic trigger group) and functional flapper magazine release, ventilated and fluted handguard, textured pistol grip, and collapsible A3 pattern stock with ribbed buttplate. Includes extra A2 pattern fixed buttstock and leather sling.
Excellent with 95% original matte black finish remaining, scattered small scuffs and surface scratches, handling marks overall, and some light edge wear. Stock and grip set have some small dings but are otherwise excellent. Mechanically excellent. Extra stock is very good.
