Manufactured in 1903 and subsequently professionally embellished with 25% plus coverage American style floral scroll engraving that is signed "BH #2" on the right side of the front strap. The revolver otherwise has standard markings and features apart from being fitted with a one-piece grip with relief carved steer head on the right. The included factory letter confirms the caliber, barrel length, and finish, as well as shipment to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. in Chicago on 18 November 1903.

Good as custom engraved, retains traces of original blue finish primarily in sheltered areas, some patches of mild pitting throughout, some light markings, and crisp engraving. The grip is also good with a visible epoxy repair, mild wear, and hairline cracks/age lines scattered throughout. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Corner Stone Collection.
