Manufactured in 1914. This is a highly attractive, high polish blued, pre-World War I production example of a Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammer semi-automatic pistol. Blade front and fixed round top notch rear sights, two-line/two-block address on left side of slide with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations, "AUTOMATIC COLT/CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS" caliber notation on the right side, serial number on left side of frame, and "VP" and "1" markings on left side of trigger guard. Checkered hard rubber grips with "COLT" banners at the top and the Rampant Colt at the center. The pistol features the correct highly polished Colt blue finish with bright nitre blue trigger, and casehardened hammer.
Excellent with 97% bright original high polish blue finish, very clear markings, and some light surface oxidation on the grip straps. The grips are also excellent with crisp checkering and some small handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
