Manufactured in 1929 and subsequently engraved with floral scroll and punch dot designs on the barrel, ejector rod housing, cylinder flats, back strap and trigger guard. In addition there are leafs on the cylinder behind each flute. The top of the barrel is inscribed with gold inlaid "B/C". Standard left side barrel marking, two line, three patent date marking on the left side of the frame followed by the Rampant Colt, and the matching serial number on the bottom of the frame and on the right side of each grip strap under the grip. Standard blade front and frame notch rear sights, casehardened frame and hammer, with blue finish on the remaining metal surfaces and fitted with smooth pearl grips.
Very fine as custom embellished showing 85% blue finish remaining with some mild muzzle and high point wear, thinning and light spotting on the front strap and a smooth gray patina on the back strap. 90% of the original bright case colors remain with some areas fading to a smooth gray. The markings and engraving remain crisp and clear. The grips are very good overall with the exception of a moderate chip on the left heel. The action is excellent.
