Manufactured in 1914 with standard markings. Fitted with pinned brass blade front and elevation adjustable notch rear sights. Mounted with a smooth schnabel tip forearm and nicely figured straight grip stock with a hard rubber shotgun buttplate. The included Roe Clark letter confirms the current configuration as well as shipment on 15 July 1915 to Simmons Hardware, a large distributor in St. Louis, Missouri.
Excellent, retains 90% plus original blue finish and 95% original case colors with a few small patches of brown patina isolated to the takedown collar, and the balance of the case coloring faded to a smooth grey patina. The wood is very fine with a few scattered light handling marks, a hairline crack and some light chipping visible near the upper tang, and retaining almost all the varnish.
