Manufactured in 1955, the first year of production, and was one of only 299 made that year. Standard markings and features of the early models. Includes an faintly numbered correct style Colt "wood grain" box and original 15 yard test target (numbered to revolver).
Excellent, retaining 97% original blue finish, light handling evidence, and light cylinder drag lines. The grips are also excellent with a few small dings, some verdigris around the medallions, and sharp checkering. Some slight discoloration of blue is visible on frame under grips. The box is good with moderate wear and tape repair. Mechanically excellent. A rare chance to own such an early Colt Python!
