Manufactured during the Nazi occupation of Hungary. Hooded blade front and tangent rear sights, with "eagle/173/jhv/44" on the receiver ring. The "jhv" stamp is repeated on multiple components, and matching numbers are present overall, including the bolt, bolt components, trigger guard, floorplate, barrel bands, rear sight and the stock. Fitted with a smooth pistol grip stock, with a brown leather sling.

Excellent, with 90% plus of the original blue finish, showing a few areas of brown patina on the bolt handle, bright edge wear and mild handling marks. The stock is very fine, with a number of mild scuffs, dents and openings in the grain. Mechanically excellent.
