Gold washed hilt, with a scene of an Indian prince seated among shields, fasces, and a liberty cap on the languet, eagle head rear quillion, lion heads on the knuckle guard, wire wrapped mother of pearl grips and an "Indian princess" pommel. The brass scabbard is stamped "3" near the throat, with light engraving on the obverse around the suspension rings and tip.

Rating Definition:

Fine overall. The blade shows a mixed bright gray patina, with mild spotting, a small amount of light pitting. The hilt shows a well aged brass patina overall, exceptional pearl with strong gold finish in the protected areas, a crack forming at the joint between the crossguard and knuckleguard, and mild handling marks. The scabbard shows a mixed antique patina with dents and wear appropriate to age.
