Description:The included factory letter confirms the overall configuration and that the "Subject revolver was an experimental prototype of the Buntline Scout .22 Magnum revolver, with unusual finish combination, kept by the Colt factory." It was first shipped out on October 16, 2008. The barrel has a small blade front sight, "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD C.T. U.S.A." on top, and "COLT SINGLE ACTION BUNTLINE SCOUT .22 MAGNUM" on the left. The frame has the experimental serial number "GX7071" on the bottom and the Rampant Colt trademark in a circle on the left. The anodized aluminum grip frame has floral patterns on the butt. It comes with a plain box hand-numbered to the gun.
Rating Definition:Excellent with 98% plus original finish, light dings and scratches, and minor handling and storage wear. Aside from a tiny hairline crack above the left medallion, the grips are very fine and have minor edge wear, light pressure marks, and a few small scratches. Mechanically excellent.
