Manufactured around the 17th century. The "banana" shaped lock has a beveled plate, non-bridled pan/frizzen, internal bridle, and a "dog" catch that secures the cock in the full-cock position whereas doglocks usually secure the cock in the half-cock position. The barrel has a brass blade front sight, a partially obscured "crown/[?]R" marking on the left at the breech, and dished tang. The furniture is all brass. A collection marking is on the trigger guard bow, and "A.C. N.O." is cut into the trigger guard tang. The stock has "GET" carved on the right side of the wrist, an "S" ahead of the lock, and raised carving. The pommel cap has a threaded hole, likely for fitting a lanyard ring.
Very good with mottled gray and brown patina on the lock and barrel, mild oxidation/pitting, aged patina on the brass, gap below the lock, repair at the toe on the right and chip on the opposite side, mild scrapes and dings, a few smaller chips on the edges of the forend, and general mild wear throughout. Mechanically fine.
