Only 74 of this model were produced, all serial numbered 1-74. This example has a rare 5 inch barrel with modified pinned blade front sight, one-line barrel address, roll marked "38 WINCHESTER CTG" on left side of the barrel, rear sight is adjustable "U" notch target type, 1 9/16 inch cylinder, pearl grips, unnumbered barrel latch, and serial number "55" on the barrel, cylinder and butt.
Excellent, retaining 95% original blue finish with thinning and mottled gray patina on the back strap. Strong original case colors remain on the hammer and thinned on the trigger guard. The grips are also fine with a small chip near the top (left panel), minimal handling marks and fiery colors. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: Dr. Gerald Klaz collection.
