This is a very fine example of a highly desirable late WWII/post war issue M45 submachine gun. These have been affectionately referred to as the Swedish-K SMG. They were developed and manufactured by the Carl Gustaf firm starting in 1945 and continued on for several years. They have been considered to be the Cadillac of submachine guns as they were extremely reliable and were highly regarded by the Green Berets in Vietnam as the go-to machine gun if you wanted the best! They even went so far as to have the SIONICS company convert a considerable number with barrel mounted suppressors for patrolling and prisoner snatches. They are easily identified by the baked on green enamel paint finish. This one is marked on top of the receiver with a "Crown/C" proof mark of the Carl Gustaf factory over the serial number "353810". They have a simple beech wood grip panels and a side folding wire stock. This example has had the muzzle threaded and barrel jacket modified for use with a suppressor; however, no suppressor is included with this lot. Magazine absent.
Very fine with 95% of its green baked on enamel finish, edge and high spot wear and scratches on the sides of the receiver the trigger housing. The grip panels are in fine condition with handling marks on both sides.
