Description:This is one of only 1,067 pre-World War II Model K-22 Masterpiece revolvers S&W manufactured in 1940 to 1941. The revolver has a King red post front sight on a King mirror reflector base, micrometer click rear sight marked "PATENTS PENDING" on the tang, 5-screw frame and matching serial numbers on the butt, cylinder and barrel. Fitted with well aged gold medallion deluxe high grain grips. Comes with a correct and proper red box (illegible serial number).
Rating Definition:Excellent, retaining 99% original blue finish showing slight muzzle wear, a cylinder drag line and minimal handling evidence. 99% plus original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The highly attractive grips are also excellent showing typical age-related hairline cracks on the bottoms, some minor handling marks and gorgeous color and grain. Mechanically excellent.
