Less than 1,000 Remington revolving rifles are estimated to have been manufactured in 1866-79 based on an enlarged frame of the New Model revolver series. The only markings on this example are "150" on the bottom of the barrel, cylinder pin, conversion breech plate, left side of the upper and lower tangs, inside the upper tang mortise, and inside of the buttplate as well as "130" on the back of the cylinder and the breech plate. It is equipped with a German silver blade front sight, adjustable sporting rear sight, and smooth buttstock.
Fine with 50% original blue finish, 30% subtle original case colors, patches of original silver plating (strongest on the buttplate), aged patinas on the silver and exposed brass, mostly brown patina on the balance of the iron along with some light spotting, and mild overall wear. The stock is very fine with strong original varnished finish, some light scratches and pressure marks, and slight edge wear. Mechanically excellent.
