Description:Manufactured in 1894. Dovetail blade and notch rear sights on a barrel with the two-line address ahead of the rear sight and "22 WRF" at the breech. British proofs are located on the left barrel flat and left side of the frame at the breech. The barrel, magazine tube and bolt are blue, and the remaining surfaces are casehardened. Takedown frame, 12-groove forearm and smooth straight grip stock with crescent buttplate. Comes with a period full length leather bound case with the initials "D.A.C." on the exterior of the lid and a Henry Atkin of London paper label on the interior of the lid.
Rating Definition:Exceptionally fine, retaining 85% original blue finish with mild slide retraction wear on the balance. 80% vivid original case colors remain on the remaining surfaces with most of the loss on the buttplate. The wood is also very fine with minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good showing numerous minor-moderate handling/storage marks and some wear to the lining.
