Carlo Nicoli/Nicolino is recorded as active in Northern Italy in the late 1600s and early 1700s. The locks are signed "C NICOLI" on the lower edges. The locks, barrels, and furniture have scrollwork and busts. The burl figured stocks are carved with raised flats.
Very good with mostly bright iron, aged patina on the brass, some minor pitting, rub wear, and minor scratches and dings. The restored stock is good and has multiple fairly discrete repairs, attractive figure, and small chips. Mechanically fine.
