Description:The factory letter confirms the current configuration including that it is chemically etched with "TEXAS RANGERS" in block letters down the back strap and inlaid with a flush silver "69" on the heel and states that the gun was shipped on March 24, 1984, to McBride's Guns of Austin, Texas as 1 of 94 units. The gun was presented to Ranger Don Anderson, a sergeant with Company B and stationed in both Greenville and Denton, Texas from 1979-1995. After his time in the Rangers, he became Sheriff of Hunt County, Texas. Includes original box, a letter from Colt factory historian M. S. Huber, and a handwritten letter from Don Anderson himself.
Rating Definition:Excellent, with 99% plus original finishes, the slightest handling evidence, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is good with moderate wear throughout.
