This is a very early production SA M1A rifle with a SAK-10-72 marked barrel. It has a "NM 062" front sight with an adjustable, hooded rear aperture sight with a "NM/2A" marked base. Fitted with a smooth, GI oil finished U.S. inspected M14 type pistol grip stock with the selector cutout. With flash hider, bayonet lug, and checkered M1 Garand style buttplate. Fitted with a 3-9x40 pre-ART scope, mounted on a Vietnam era S&K mount, and green canvas web sling.

Excellent overall with 95% plus original green/gray Parkerized finish. With scattered areas of light spotting, mild surface scratches and some cycling marks on the receiver. The wood is very good as refreshed with scattered small indentations, light markings and scattered surface scratches. Mechanically excellent.
