Produced by the Walther factory under the wartime code of "ac", this is a nice example of a late-war production G43 Sniper rifle. The rifle is equipped with a raised ramp front sight and tangent rear sight graduated to 1200 meters. The receiver is marked "G43", with a rough cast matching numbered bolt carrier with reinforcing web, hollow cocking knob and hold-open catch on the right side. Also fitted to the receiver is a "K43" marked "ddx" code scope, with a set of rubber sun shields (the front shield also fitted with a yellow tint lens), a leather/cork lens protector set, and a "5701" marked base. Fitted with a laminated pistol grip stock and a brown leather sling.
Very fine, with 80% of the original finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina, as well as some mild handling marks and spotting. The lightly sanded, refinished stock is fine, with scattered mild dents and scuffs. The optics are clear. Mechanically fine.
