Description:Manufactured in 1943. Blade front and flat top rear sights, with the two-line, two-block markings divided by the Rampant Colt on the left side of the slide and a "G.H.D." inspected frame with "R/VP" and "69" on the trigger guard. Fitted with a wide checkered hammer, short milled trigger, long grip safety, arched checkered mainspring housing, reinforced Colt grips, "R"/"C-R" marked full blue magazine, and a "COLT 45 AUTO" marked barrel. Includes a reproduction brown cardboard box, marked with military nomenclature on the lid, and an extra magazine.
Rating Definition:Excellent, with 95% of the original parkerized finish, showing some edge wear and handling marks. The markings are somewhat irregular, with the Rampant Colt faint on the slide and numerous breaks in the lettering (factory error). The grips are very good, with some mild dings. The number on the reproduction, remarked box lid appears to have been erased and remarked, and the spare magazine retains much of the original preservative wrapper. Mechanically excellent.
