Manufactured in 1943, as part of the 2nd serial number block. The original sights are properly absent, with "R.A./flaming bomb/12-43" on the barrel, "R" marked cocking piece and properly turned and contoured bolt handle, and the properly offset manufacturer, model and serial number markings on the receiver ring. A parkerized Redfield scope base is mounted with staked screws, and the included Weaver M73B1 scope is hand-numbered "30837" on the lower right side next to the data plate. Smooth pistol grip stock, with a circled unserifed "P" on the wrist, "crossed cannons", "RA" and "FJA" on the left side, and a flat checkered steel buttplate.
Excellent, with 97% plus original parkerized finish, showing some minor wear and handling marks overall. The blued components, including the scope body, are at 90% plus, with a bit of spotting on the trigger guard, bright cycling wear on the bolt, and a few minor scratches on the scope body. The optics are slightly hazy but are otherwise in fine order with a solid reticle. The reoiled stock is very fine, with some scuffing on the underside from the mid-band and a few light dings and dents overall. Mechanically excellent.
