Manufactured in May of 1941. Blade front and adjustable peep rear sights, with locking bar and "BATTLE RANGE" elevation drum. Earlier production replacement Springfield "8-40" barrel, and a Springfield gas cylinder, bolt, trigger guard, trigger housing, safety, hammer, and operating rod. Smooth pistol grip stock, with a serifed "P" on the pistol grip, "S.A./GHS" and "crossed cannons" stamps on the left side, and a checkered buttplate.
Fine as refurbished, with 80% plus f the parkerized finish, showing areas of gray patina, cycling wear and handling marks. The gas cylinder and locking nut are both worn bright. The reoiled stock is very good as lightly sanded, with some scratches and dents. Mechanically excellent.
