Description:A superb rifle built on a Winchester Model 52C receiver by George Hoenig. The receiver has Hoenig of Boise, Idaho, markings. The scope rings on the Leupold 1x4 VARI-XII scope slide on a receiver dovetail. Equipped with serrated ramp front and elevation adjustable notch rear sights. Mounted on a highly figured and finely checkered full length pistol grip stock with sling swivels, grip cap with engraved initialed trapdoor containing an extra front sight, cheekpiece and solid Old English Pachmayr recoil pad.
Rating Definition:Very fine as professionally built, retaining 99% plus of the Hoenig blue finish with very minimal handling marks, hardened recoil pad and crisp stock checkering. The scope has clear optics. Provenance: Robert E. Petersen Collection
