Description:

Measuring 18 1/4 inches overall, with a 13 1/4 inch blade, etched on both sides with crowned and fouled anchors and a masted sailing ship, and stamped with the "knight's helm" Weyersburg logo on the ricasso over the sheath lock. The hilt hardware is cast brass, with disc quillions, fouled anchors on both sides of the guard, and a three-dimensional Imperial crown for the pommel. The grip is smooth one-piece construction with carved grooves and ribbing, with a silver bullion portepee with a solid acorn and black and red accents. With a gilt brass sheath, decorated with oak leaf engraving on the body and a sculpted rope pattern on the rings, and inscribed "Goerrio" on the back. An uncommon German surname, no information on the owner has been found.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The fine blade shows mild spotting, with a few age cracks on the grip and mild handling marks overall. Some dents are present on the sheath, concentrated towards the tip.
