Manufactured in 1885. Features standard sporting sights and factory markings, and a non-factory smooth bored barrel for use with shot. .44-40 shot cartridges were popular with the trick shooters of the Wild West shows.
good as altered with 50% original blue on the barrel, 25% original blue on the action, mostly gray and brown patina on the balance, some minor pitting and oxidation, and scattered scratches and dings. The replaced wood is fair and has some slight chips and minor scratches. Mechanically fine.
