This is a very fine example of a Yugoslavian Model 49 submachine gun, remanufactured using a new made receiver from La France Specialties in San Diego, Ca, using one of the previously improved Yugoslavian SMG part sets. The Model 49 was basically an updated and improved version of the Russian PPSH-41 with a heavier receiver and barrel jacket. It still fired from an open bolt and has almost the same trigger assembly as the original Russian model. This example is fitted with one of the Yugoslavian oak style stock with a heavy stamped sheet metal buttplate that looks like a K98 buttplate. The selector switch is located directly in front of the trigger, and it has a simple cross-bolt safety above the front end of the trigger guard bow. It comes complete with an original canvas sling and one magazine.
Very fine as refurbished with 99% of the current blue/black type finish. The bolt is still in the white. The stock is also in very fine condition showing a nice original finish with only minor/light handling marks on the sides. Should be a fun gun to take to the range. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
