Manufactured by Erma of Munich these conversion kits allow a standard K98 rifle to be rapidly reconfigured to a .22 caliber repeater for inexpensive training. One simply removes the original bolt and floor plate, inserts the Erma receiver/barrel sleeve assembly into the 98k receiver, and installs the included magazine well. The receiver is "WaA51" proofed, and marked "E.L.24." and "S.A.7.F.8". The magazine well is dated "1936" with an "eagle/280" proof, and the magazines are similarly proofed with "1936" and "1938" dates. Included with the kit is a small installation tool and a hardwood case hand marked "2.Komp" on the lid.
Fine as assembled (mixed numbers on receiver, bolt, and magazine well), with 70% of the blue finish, showing some mild spotting and handling marks overall. The case is also fine, with some mild chips and stains. Mechanically very good.
