Produced in California by John Martz, this Luger pistol has been upgraded to match the configuration of the Luger Carbine, with the addition of the Martz Safe Toggle Release, an automatic hold-open release integrated into the safety. Blade front and 3-position notch rear sights on the barrel, with a blank chamber, "DWM" toggle, "crown/N" proofs and "GESICHERT" safety marking. The frame is fitted with a numbered steel extension, marked "MSTR" on the left rail and "JVM" and "28" in ovals beneath the side plate. The forearm, grips and buttstock are all made from checkered fancy walnut, the former with a Schnabel tip and the latter with a blued steel mounting iron and a serrated black horn buttplate.
Near mint as custom made, with 98% plus high polish blue finish, showing some light handling marks overall. The wood is also near mint, with a few light dings, attractive grain and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
