A) U.S. Springfield Model 1888 Trapdoor Rifle with Ramrod Bayonet
"SWP/1890" cartouche, standard markings and features, "US/1/K" on top of buttplate, "WVX" scratched on the stock below the rear sight on the left, and a leather sling.
Very good with 20% original blue and casehardened finish, a touch up on the right side of the hinge, and gray and brown patina on the balance along with some light spotting. The stock is also very good and has some minor scratches and dings. The sling is fair with some flaking and crackling. Mechanically excellent.
B) U.S. Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor Rifle
Manufactured around 1874. Standard markings and features. It also has "63" and "L" on the comb.
Fair with mottled gray patina, minor pitting, and light spotting. The lightly sanded stock is also fair and has some small dents and chips, light scratches, and a faint cartouche. Mechanically excellent.
