Manufactured in 1916. Blade front and "ski-ramp" tangent rear sights, with the arsenal and date markings on top of the chamber. Smooth pistol grip stock, with a matching serial number on the underside, "crown/Gothic letter" proofs on the right, and a smooth flat buttplate. With a Simson & Company (Suhl) bayonet, 25 3/4 inches overall, 20 5/8 inch quillback blade, ribbed grip, unidentified (possibly South American) coat of arms on the pommel and a leather sheath.
Very good with 25% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina, along with some scattered spotting and handling marks. The bright areas are bright, and show a few traces of minor pitting. A few of the small parts have mixed numbers. The stock is fair as revarnished and duffel cut, with dents and scuffs. The bayonet is good, with some light wear on the sheath. Mechanically very good.
