Description:Late production, manufactured 1937-1938, rare bright blue finish and Magna grips seldom found on 2nd models. It has standard S&W markings, importer marking on the butt, Magna grips, fixed sights, matching serial numbers on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder and barrel and assembly number "6949" on the yoke and crane.
Rating Definition:Excellent. The revolver retains 99% original finish with wear limited to the muzzle of the barrel and a light cylinder drag line. There are a few light surface scratches and handling marks. Virtually all of the original bright case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are fine with a dent on the bottom edge, a very small crack near the top and a gouge on the left panel, otherwise some high edge wear and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: Frank Staig.
