Manufactured in 1945. This late war pistol features standard blade and notch sights, standard one-line slide markings, "eagle/359" acceptance marks on the slide and barrel, and "eagle/swastika" firing proofs on the locking block, barrel, and slide. The scarce FN produced frame is stamped with the correct "eagle/140" acceptance mark and "M1" at the left rear of the trigger guard. All visible numbers are matching with the exception of the un-numbered magazine. Serrated bakelite grips with lanyard loop on the left side.
Excellent. 90% plus original late war military blue finish remains with areas of edge wear, surface scratches, clear markings, and handling marks throughout. The grips are very fine with some small scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent. A solid representative example of a late war P-38 with a scarce frame variation.

Very fine. 85% original blue finish remains with areas of visible edge wear, handling marks mostly on the grip straps, scattered small dings, and some light surface scratches. The grips are fine with some scattered small scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent.
