Originally manufactured and imported by Vector Arms, this South African made semi-auto Uzi was upgraded to open bolt selective fire operation by Group Industries of Louisville shortly before the Firearm Owners Protection Act (aka House Resolution 4332) went active, making it among the last fully transferrable machine guns manufactured in the United States. The interior bolt blocks have been cut away making the receiver compatible with original military-pattern non-slotted bolts, and the receiver has been shortened to follow the "Mini-Uzi" pattern. Post front and two leaf rear sights, with a side-ported muzzle, ratcheting dust cover, manufacturer's marks on the left side of the receiver, and a three position full function "A R S" (full/semi/safe) selector group on the grip. Note that while the receiver is "9mm/45 ACP/22" multi-caliber marked, the paperwork currently lists it as a 9mm. With a ribbed forearm and a folding metal stock. Also included with the SMG is a barrel for a full-length Uzi SMG.
Very fine as upgraded and reconfigured, with 95% of the matte gray finish, showing some light handling marks overall. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
